About Cambridge Care Services
A local care provider, based in Sawston, supporting people across Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire.
We are a home care provider registered with the Care Quality Commission. We help people stay in their own homes with the right support around them, whether that is a short visit each morning or a carer living in full time. Our office is here, our carers live here, and the people we support are our neighbours.

Why We Do This
[CONFIRM: founder story. Two short paragraphs covering why the service was set up, what the founders saw that needed doing differently, and what has not changed since. This section carries more weight than any marketing copy on the site and must be true.]Cambridge Care Services was registered with the Care Quality Commission in March 2022. Since then we have grown mostly by word of mouth, which is how this work tends to spread. Families tell other families, and district nurses remember who turned up when they said they would.
What has not changed is how we approach the work. Care is not a list of tasks completed within a time slot. It is a relationship with a person who has a life, a history and preferences, and who did not choose to need help.
What We Stand For
Trusted
We keep our promises and we do what we say we will do. If we cannot do something, we say so rather than agreeing and hoping.
Personal
We work around the individual, their routine and their preferences, not around a standard package.
Caring
Our carers are here because they want this work, not because it was the only job available.
Compassionate and committed
Knowledge and training matter, but so do patience, kindness and turning up when it is raining.
How We Approach Care
Careful recruitment
Every carer is interviewed, referenced and DBS checked before they meet anyone. We would rather be short staffed than employ the wrong person.
Training that continues
Induction training before anyone works unsupervised, then ongoing training, supervision and spot checks.
[CONFIRM: name specific qualifications such as the Care Certificate or NVQ levels only if accurate.]Continuity of carers
We build a small regular team around each person, because familiarity is most of what makes care work.
Care plans that are actually used
Written with the person, kept in the home, reviewed regularly and updated when things change rather than filed away.
Open communication
Families hear what actually happened, including the difficult days. Nobody has to chase us for an update.
Working with others
We coordinate with GPs, district nurses, therapists and discharge teams so instructions do not get lost between services.
The People Who Do the Work
Our registered manager is [CONFIRM: name and a two sentence introduction in his own words] who holds legal responsibility for the quality and safety of the service.
Behind the scenes there is a small office team handling rotas, assessments, training and the phone. Out in Cambridge and the villages are our carers, who come from across Europe, Africa and Asia and who are the reason anyone recommends us. We match them to the people they support on personality and shared language as much as on skills.
Meet Our Care TeamRegulated, and Happy to Be Checked
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Our registration began on 17 March 2022 and our public record is available on the CQC website.
Regulation is a floor, not a ceiling. Alongside it we run our own spot checks, supervisions and care plan reviews, and we ask families what they actually think. If something has gone wrong we want to hear it from you rather than read it in an inspection report.
Local, and We Mean It
Our office is in Sawston, a few miles south of Cambridge. We cover the city and the villages of South Cambridgeshire, which means our carers are not driving forty minutes between calls and our coordinators know the roads and the parking.
