Personal Care at Home in Cambridge
Unhurried help with washing, dressing and daily routines, delivered in your own bathroom, at your own pace.
Personal care is the most private support we provide, so we treat it that way. Our carers work at the speed you set, explain what they are doing, and do only what you want them to do. Everything else you can still manage stays yours.

What Is Personal Care?
Personal care means practical, hands on support with the everyday tasks most of us do without thinking, such as washing, dressing, using the toilet and moving safely around the home. It is provided in your own home, usually as scheduled visits at agreed times.
For many people it starts small. A little help with the shower, because standing has become unsteady. Someone to manage buttons and shoes when arthritis makes mornings slow. It is not about taking over. It is about restoring the parts of the day that have quietly become difficult, so the rest of your life can carry on as normal.
Who Personal Care Is For
- Someone who is unsteady in the bathroom, or who has already had a fall
- An older person whose morning routine now takes hours rather than minutes
- A person living with arthritis, Parkinson's, a stroke or reduced mobility
- Someone recently discharged from hospital who needs support while they recover
- A person living with dementia who needs gentle prompting through familiar steps
- Anyone whose family carer needs practical help with the personal tasks

How Your Personal Care Works
- 1
Talk to our care team
A short, honest conversation about what is becoming difficult, with no pressure and no obligation.
- 2
Free home assessment
We visit, meet everyone involved, look at the bathroom and bedroom layout, and identify any equipment or adaptations that would make things safer.
- 3
Your personalised care plan
We write down exactly what each visit covers, your preferences, your call times and anything a carer should never assume.
- 4
Your matched carer
We match on skills, personality, language and gender preference, then introduce your carer before the first working visit wherever possible.
- 5
Regular reviews
We check in, review the plan with you and adjust visits as needs change, whether that means more support or less.
Why Families Choose Us for Personal Care
Continuity you can rely on. A small regular team, not a different stranger each week.
Preferences recorded and respected. Gender, language, routine and the small details that matter.
Properly trained carers. DBS checked, referenced and trained in moving and handling, infection control and safeguarding before they visit anyone.
A local Sawston team. You speak to people who know the area and can respond quickly.
Carers from across Europe, Africa and Asia. We match on shared language and personality wherever we can.
Care that flexes. Visits can increase, reduce or change time as your needs do.
